Nice to meet you: my name is Mariana (19 years old), as know as "Allith Lumia". I'll now let you know about my city, my life and some additional things about Brazil. If you are interested about the live and the people of other countries, I hope you enjoy!!
My Life
I live in a medium house, in a good ward in the city, with my mother Berenice (42 years old), my little sister Catarina (13 old) and my two female dogs Lady and her daughter Pipoca (if I translated to you, the name means "popcorn", hihi!). Actually, my father Valdir (41 old) is work out in another state.
I wake up every morning to go to preparatory school, you know, to enter in an university. It's very tiring, generally I sleep in some lecture, hehe… in the Tuesday, Thursday and Friday I'm go to Japanese Language School (2:00 PM~3:30PM) and after, I go to visit my boyfriend or I return to my house. ^___^- At night, I enter in the internet to download anime songs, talk to my friends in the ICQ and see the news in the anime and manga world.
Saturday and Sunday I generally go to visit my boyfriend again and we go to visit our friends, go to the shopping center watch movies, to play games, . Sometimes, I go to my mother visit the family (our grandmother, uncles, cousins…)
I love to watch animes so I watch them. In the moment, I love Saint Seiya because I started to like anime watching it 7 years ago, when Saint Seiya started in TV for the first time. Now, this anime was redubbed and re-start in TV again. My sister likes animes too and we talk about it sometimes; her favorite anime is Inuyasha (she like Sesshoumaru). I love to draw too. My biggest dream is become a "mangaka" (a Japanese term for the people who want to draw manga). Sadly, there are no big schools like in Japan, where you can study the art of manga to really be a mangaka. But in my Japanese School we are a manga course, which our sensei (teacher) named Shin! (Yes, he draws very well… o.o') came from the capital, Sao Paulo to teach us. I have lot friends in the class, they are funny friends.
My City: Sorocaba - Sao Paulo - Brazil
I live in Sorocaba, state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. My city is one of the cities in development in the state. Sorocaba was founded 349 years ago. It's known as "the city of walk" (exercise, walking, understand? ^^') Sorocaba means in Tupi-Guarani language (ancient Indian language of Brazil) as "teared ground".
Sorocaba is a little bit disorganized city, but a nice place to live. There are poor areas where there are no pavement streets for example, places a little dangerous. In my city are assassinates, and this situation is growing, this is no good. But there are areas with big houses, really big and beautiful. The mayor like to invest to "adorn" the city planting trees and flowers in everywhere… hehe, everyone noticed this.
In my city there are no subways or trains (we have a train station but it is abandoned and the unique trains transport cement, rocks and sand) We have a river not too clear, but there are some fishes but no fluvial transport. We have 2 shopping centers, which the best is the "Esplanada Shopping Center".
In the center of the city, have a lot stores, banks and a lot of people walking. There are garbage cans but the people seems not to see it… there are poor people begging money in the streets.
Sorocaba is a very hot city, because of your geographic localization and the composition of the ground and in the summer is very hot!! 30?C-34?C... (and I hate hot days!! I can't do nothing with the sensation of hot… I wish snow here...)
